Keith David Williams (born June 4, 1956) is an American character actor, voice actor, comedian, and singer. He became known for his roles as King in Platoon and Childs in The Thing. From there, David acted in such hit films as Men at Work, There's Something About Mary, Barbershop, and Crash. He has also had roles in numerous cult favorites, including Armitage in They Live, Big Tim in Requiem for a Dream, General Kimsey in Armageddon, and Abu "Imam" al-Walid in Pitch Black and its sequel, The Chronicles of Riddick. On TV, David starred as Elroy Patashnik in the sixth season of comedy Community[1]. In 2016, David began starring as Bishop James Greenleaf in the drama Greenleaf.

David's extensive voice-over career includes narrating Ken Burns documentaries Jazz, Mark Twain, The War, Jackie Robinson, The War, and Unforgivable Blackness: The Rise and Fall of Jack Johnson; he won Emmy Awards for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance for his work in the latter two films. Characters that he has voiced include Goliath on Gargoyles, Al Simmons/Spawn on Todd McFarlane's Spawn, the Arbiter in the Halo franchise, Black Panther in Fantastic Four, Captain David Anderson in the Mass Effect franchise,  Barricade in Transformers: The Game, Julius Little and himself the Saints Row franchise, Sergeant Foley in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Dr. Facilier in The Princess and the Frog, the Flame King in Adventure Time, the President in Rick and Morty, Chaos in Dissidia Final Fantasy and its sequel Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy, Solovar in The Flash, and the Cat in Coraline.
